1997 - Fuel Cafe, Kenmore Square, Boston
(I’m having a hard time getting the right colors from this negative …. I’ve given up and am posting it anyway. )
I spent the majority of my 2 years at BU rotating between Fuel Cafe, South Street Diner and Deli Haus. (Fuel Cafe was top of the list because Campus Camera was right next-door and it was where my crush worked.)
My first photography exhibit ever was at Fuel - I showed color prints from trip to Ireland.

It could be from my summer on Martha’s Vineyard, or from an assignment during my color class at BU taught by the wonderful Lisa Kessler. 2001 (scanned color negative exported as b&w)- I went searching for a photo from this shoot since we JUST had another (23 years later). The great Damon & Naomi. (I LOVE this band). I remember being so excited for this assignment. I think this was taken outside the entrance to the MFA Japanese garden (which they wouldn’t let us photograph in). It was our first shoot (of many) together (shot for the @bostonphoenix )

1997 - I have a pretty fuzzy memory of the specifics surrounding this photoshoot (like, was it for the UConn weekly arts paper, GWI? Or was it for the Danbury weekly arts paper called Main Street?). But I do remember that my friend James @ijango and I trekked down to NYC to meet up with Ladybug Transistor at Katz’s Deli to interview and photograph them for some paper. I remember getting in trouble for photographing in the deli (I mean, I get it, it was where that iconic scene from When Harry Met Sally was filmed). We ended up outside for some photos….here are a few close ups from the shoot.
