**Pleinair: French for "outdoors* refers to a painting style and movement where artists paint outdoors to capture the essence of their subject, particularly the fleeting qualities of nature, light and atmosphere.**
Join us on September 20th from 7-10pm for the occasion of Pleinair TV: an immersive AV performance installation- featuring live spatial audio paired with video and film presentations.
Set in the gardens of Circle Forest, Pleinair TV explores the screen as a canvas, through which visions of nature, interpretations of sound, and collective gathering reimagines itself- not as a static painting but rather through kinetic interactions of music and film.
Pleinair TV features local filmmakers and musicians, @otodojo@weathercitizen@venusloc@kdot__m as they collaborate across mediums to cultivate a transformative, nature based, music experience!

Join us October 25th -27th for this live performance series including film and video works by @venusloc@one800lifealert@kdot__m and music performances by @kellijai_@na_bonsai@otodojo , Kathy Lea, and Billy Mark
Garage Theater is a site-specific, multi-channel video installation- transforming elements of live performance into a three-night video art festival. Influenced by early to mid 00’s aesthetics, it reinterprets digital displays as a framework for interdisciplinary practice and staged event.
Inspired by personal nostalgia of home, Garage Theater recalls memories of the garage as a sanctuary for analogue artifacts: lost and found video, VHS movie nights, vibrant stereo soundscapes. Driveway dancefloors and heartfelt conversations.
More than just a stage for live performances, Garage Theater is a gathering of the present, past, and future- converging through virtual displays of live performance.

What does it mean to Ideate rapture- immortality, pleasure, joy?
During my residency at BULK Space, I spent a lot of time with this question- using different forms of rest and creativity to find some answers. Find them, I did. And through multiple processes of exploration, my practice continues to expand into new, more tangible modes for experiencing and expressing creativity
RAPTURE is an (experimental) screening event, that explores the ubiquitous nature of black immortality and pleasure through film and video based narratives. Set for by artist interested in communicating pleasure, love, and joy- this event seeks to highlight multiple accounts of experience where expressions of Rapture intersects or interrupts commonly held tropes around (black) identity.
RAPTURE:

Short snippet from audiovisual experiment in praise of Bessie Coleman. For this I used a range of audio reactive network configurations to build up a short visual set in touchdesigner. This was my first time creating and performing visuals using TD. Thanks to the good practitioners over at YouTube Univ, sharing their work and process for us self taught creatives- l somehow managed pull this off
Though challenging, it was fun to build and a pleasure to perform this brief set with Na Bonsai @moondogdetroit
