We've got something exciting in the works!
We’re launching an updated mobile app this summer, designed to make it easier for you to stay connected, access resources, and navigate your college experience.
As we get ready for the upgrade, the mobile app won't be available until July 1. You don’t need to delete your current app. We’ll push an update to your device once the new version is ready.

We’ll share download details and sneak peeks soon, so stay tuned!
We can’t wait for you to experience what’s next.
As Nurses Week comes to a close, we take time to reflect and celebrate the compassion, skill and dedication of nurses who care for Kentucky’s communities.
The Kentucky Community & Technical College System is proud to help strengthen the commonwealth’s healthcare workforce by awarding:
• 60% of Kentucky’s nursing and allied health credentials.
• 89% of Kentucky’s associate degrees in nursing and allied health.
From classrooms and labs, to hospitals and clinics across Kentucky, our students are preparing to make a life-changing impact where it matters most.
Thank you to every nurse, nursing student, and healthcare professional for the care and commitment you bring to the commonwealth.
Last Thursday at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College, we saw exactly what “KCTCS for KY” is all about.
When employers, business leaders, government partners, and community organizations come together with a shared purpose, something powerful happens. We align around opportunity. We listen. We build. And most importantly, we move Kentucky forward together.
This forum wasn’t just a conversation, it was a commitment. A commitment to keep our programs relevant, responsive, and impactful for today’s students and tomorrow’s workforce.
At the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, we know that student success doesn’t happen by chance. It’s built through access, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to outcomes.
That’s why we’re proud to celebrate West Kentucky Community and Technical College being named a semifinalist for the 2027 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, one of the nation’s most prestigious recognitions for community colleges.
As a semifinalist, WKCTC is competing for a share of $1 million in prize funds awarded by the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program, which honors institutions leading the country in student success, from completion and transfer to workforce outcomes.
When our colleges succeed, Kentucky succeeds, and WKCTC is showing the nation what that looks like.
Accelerating student success and strengthening Kentucky’s workforce pipeline are a driving force behind Kentucky Community and Technical College (KCTCS) and @nkuedu new transfer partnership, designed to remove education barriers for today’s student, and the future of the Commonwealth.
From classroom to career, this agreement changes the landscape of higher education by building bridges that ensure students don’t just transfer, they thrive.

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System is dedicated to helping today’s youth become tomorrow’s leaders by offering dual credit opportunities to students still in high school. Dual credit offers high school-age scholars the opportunity to complete college credits and get a head start on their undergraduate education. Through KCTCS, students can access a catalog of 1,097 dual credit courses, including 15 university-transfer courses, 283 general education offerings and 799 technical education courses. “By helping students earn college and career credentials earlier, we’re strengthening a more skilled, job-ready workforce that can meet the evolving needs of Kentucky employers,” said Ryan Quarles, KCTCS president.

Kentucky residents can now support students in need by selecting a Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) license plate when renewing their vehicle registration.
“With every registration, $10 goes directly to our student emergency funds, helping remove non-academic barriers and keeping our students enrolled and on track to earn their credentials,” said Ryan Quarles, KCTCS president.
The new license plate, launched earlier this year, supports KCTCS student emergency funds including housing, food, transportation, childcare, academic supplies, utilities and medical bills. To keep this specialty plate available, KCTCS must maintain at least 500 registrations each year.
“Our hope is that Kentucky residents will help spread the word to their friends, family, and colleagues so we can continue supporting students across the Commonwealth,” Quarles said.
For Kentucky residents who wish to donate to KCTCS without purchasing a specialty license plate, simply inform your local county clerk’s office upon registration. Registration can be completed in office or online. For more information, visit https://bit.ly/4mu22ak

Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) kicked off a series of “Going Pro” events for students starting their professional careers and signing with Kentucky employers.
Held at KCTCS’ system office in Versailles, the all-day signing event served as the first of many that will be held throughout Community College Month in April at campus locations across 120 counties within the Commonwealth. Before the signing, an Industry Expo event for high school, middle school, and undecided students was held to educate the next generation of Kentucky workers about the industries and job opportunities available to them throughout the state. “This is one of my favorite events every year because it’s a chance for us to celebrate student success but also say thank you to the countless employers that are signing our students,” said Ryan Quarles, KCTCS president.

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) recently partnered with @feedingkentucky for the 9th annual Serving Up Solutions and raised $57,400 to address hunger in Kentucky.
These funds will directly benefit the food pantries at 16 KCTCS college locations.
Rising inflation and economic hardship continues to be a problem affecting many KCTCS students. Nearly 50 percent of undergraduates attending a KCTCS college reported housing instability, and insecurity over where their next meal was coming from, according to a recent study by Trellis Research.
“Students can’t learn if they are hungry,” said Ryan Quarles, president of KCTCS. “We strive to make sure our students never have to choose between attending class and having enough to eat so that we can guarantee a better future for them and their families. Initiatives like Serving Up Solutions ensures our campus food pantries are stocked so no one is forced to make that decision.”

For the first time ever, the KCTCS is launching a systemwide Mental Health & Wellness Week.
From March 2–6, students and employees across all 16 colleges will take part in five days of interactive events, creative activities and accessible support designed to strengthen well-being and normalize conversations around mental health.
This inaugural week supports KCTCS’s new Mental Health Strategy, developed in partnership with The JED Foundation, The Healthy Minds Network and the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education. Together, we’re building a coordinated, data-informed approach to support more than 110,000 students across the Commonwealth.
When we prioritize mental health, we remove barriers, strengthen student success and invest in Kentucky’s future workforce.
Check in with your local KCTCS college to see what’s happening on campus this week. You belong here and your well-being matters.
