The musical comedy lovingly ripped off from the film classic, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, has everything that makes a great knight at the theatre, from flying cows to killer rabbits, British royalty to French taunters, dancing girls, rubbery shrubbery, and of course, the Lady of the Lake. The original Broadway production was nominated for fourteen Tony Awards and won three, including Best Musical.

Starlight Produced
Set in turn-of-the century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged "newsies." When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right!
📢 Announcing the Blue Star Teen Ensemble for Starlight's Production of Disney's Newsies!
Out of hundreds of local students who auditioned, the musical's creative team chose 33 Kansas City-area high school students to join the professionals representing the 'Newsies' in the production.
Disney's Newsies will play September 8 - 13 at Starlight. Tickets start at $19 and are available now at kcstarlight.com.
