Big news for the pet lovers and soccer fans in Kansas City! 🐾⚽ KC Pet Project is excited to officially partner with @purina and @fwc26kansascity for a summer full of fun, community, and pets! Thanks to Purina and KC2026, Kansas City is helping lead the way as the only host city bringing pet-friendly experiences to FanFest, including special dog-friendly days where fans can enjoy the festivities alongside their pets. 🐶 And on human only days, KC Pet Project will be hanging out at FanFest with adoptable pets joining in on the fun! As part of this exciting partnership, Purina is also helping more pets find loving homes by covering pet adoption fees at KC Pet Project, up to $20,000! 💙 We will share more details on that coming soon. 👀 Today’s launch event was also a very big day for our friend Keeper, who proudly sported the Purina pet kit for the media all day long. This sweet 7-year-old pup handled the cameras like a total pro and happily accepted plenty of pets and treats in return. Connor here 👋🏼🤠 Back once more with Jessica to tell you all about why you should do Dog Day Outs! But first, let's share a bit about Jessica ❤️‍🩹 Jessica is a 4 year old, 8 month pittie mix. Jessica is a bit shy but once she is comfortable with you she gets pretty silly and shows her true colors! Once again, what a point to why we have to let dogs get a second to decompress 😅. Jessica did awesome on leash! She was not reactive to bikes, walkers, or other dogs. Jessica knows how to sit & take treats very gently. She attends playgroups regularly too, but only with male dogs! 🤗 Now for DDOs! Dog Day Outs provide so much relief for the dogs at KC Pet Project. They allow the animals a bit of peace & quiet, 1:1 attention, and overall some relief! I have been doing Dog Day Outs since 2022 and my favorite things to do with the dogs are take them on walks at Loose Park or the Nelson, get them a cheeseburger or a pup cup, and sometimes let them take a snooze while we find a spot with lots of space to sit in the grass. This is a great opportunity if you are looking for a way to get involved with the shelter animals in your community! Dog Day Outs are meant to be low pressure. They can be 1 hour, 3 hours, even a slumbie at your house if that's what you want! KC Pet Project provides all the supplies and staff & volunteers do a great job matching you with a dog you will be the most comfortable with. So don't put too much pressure on yourself with it. Just remember any break is a needed break!

BEST UPDATE EVER! 🥹🐾 After capturing so many hearts with their story, we are so happy to share that both Drake and Georgia have officially been adopted into amazing homes! 💛 After seeing all the attention around Drake finding his way back with Georgia’s help, the adopter of Drake’s biological brother, Josh, came back for him too! The moment the brothers reunited, they remembered each other instantly and have been inseparable ever since. 🥹 Then the very next day, a family who saw Georgia’s story online came to meet her and fell in love! Now both Drake and Georgia are out of the shelter and living the lives they deserve. Even though their time as roommates has come to an end, we are so excited for this next chapter for them both! ✨
