I swear that's acclaimed actor Robert Aramayo in that phone box!
It was an honour to catch up with rising star @robertaramayo this week as he unveiled a classic cream K6 phone box named in his honour as part of our Hometown Heroes campaign, celebrating inspirational local figures.
The double BAFTA-winning star of Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones dropped by his Holderness Road kiosk during a flying visit from Hollywood to Hull - and it's fair to say he was chuffed with having a Hull icon named after him on the street where he used to queue for his school bus!

It was fantastic to honour our first Hometown Heroes winner this weekend as we unveiled Cath Lyon’s very own dedicated K6.
Surrounded by three generations of the Lyon family, Cath said it was “wonderful” to see her classic cream K6 on Willerby Road, outside Spring Head Park Gold Club, where it will be on show for the rest of the year.
Cath was a hugely popular choice to be one of our nine Hometown Heroes after more than 60 years of dedicated service to the NHS as a nurse at Hull Royal Infirmary.
Her son Lance said: “I’m as proud as punch to see my mum up there. I’m very impressed, it’s a great way to recognise her after all those years she dedicated. It’s nice to know she’s so highly thought of. Thank you.”
Cath added: “KCOM’s done a wonderful job I couldn’t be happier with how it looks. It’s nice for my family to be able to be here today to see it.”
Hometown Heroes is celebrating nine inspirational figures in the Hull and East Yorkshire community this year, to mark the 90th anniversary of KCOM’s classic cream K6 phone boxes.
KCOM’s Director of Corporate Affairs Susan Adams said: “Cath’s a true inspiration and a more than deserving Hometown Hero. It’s been wonderful to share this special occasion with Cath, and all her friends and her family who came today. It’s a wonderful achievement and we couldn’t be happier that’s Cath’s kiosk is now part of our rich local history and heritage.”
