Another lovely night at @plentybookshop ! 📚 Tonight, we had the joy of hearing from @meredithrlyons in conversation with @heymelissagrace (and maybe added a few titles to my library). 😊🦄 Shout out to @jaime4boys for her awesome hard work, and the hubs and @kchattx for the pics! It’s always great to see you all! Thanks Plenty! 🖤

I had the best weekend at @wineandwords.official and @delmonacowinery ! It was lovely to meet all the authors old and new! Thank you for hanging out with us and discussing all the bookish things with us! Giving us the inside scoop about upcoming projects and sharing some of your most embarrassing moments! 😂 I have some many new books added to my TBR and I look forward to all their upcoming releases! I wish I had taken more pictures, but I was too caught up in the moment. 🥰 I tried to tag everyone sorry if I missed anyone! My book bestie @ownyourhealth and I tried to read at least one book from all 29 authors that were attending the event. Between the two of us, we got through 25 before the event. Not too bad if you ask me! 😉 I can’t recommend this event enough! It’s my second time attending it and I look forward to it every year! @plentybookshop really knows how to bring readers together and host an event! 📚🍷🥀🐉⚔️🛡️👑🧛‍♂️💋🫆🔎🦄✨🖤

So remember that thing I said about new year, same me? 🤔 Yeah. I meant it. As such, here’s a post I meant to post weeks ago and forgot. Because that’s the Savy way. 🤣 Huge special thanks to @kchattx and @ownyourhealth for these amazing Christmas gifts! Books and tiny things!! Some of my favorite things on earth. 📚 Can you believe they made these and the bags and tags they came with?! I’m so impressed. Thank you, ladies! 🖤✨

I had an incredible time at Plenty Downtown Bookshop’s Jane Austen Gala For Literacy over the weekend! I got to attend with my friends and fellow book club members. Everyone looked incredible and we all had so much fun! It was definitely a night to remember! ✨🥰📚💃🏻 I’ve met the best people and my best friends at these book clubs. I highly recommend joining one! There are several different book club options to choose from at @plentybookshop . The gala raised money to help end the literacy crisis by putting books in the hands of local school aged children, children fighting cancer, and building and filling little free libraries around town! Honorable mentions: @savybuckley , Rachel, Kristi, Bonnie, Sherry, LaShea, Joe, Tracey, Jamie, Beth, @april_tncountrygirl , and anyone else I may have missed! Last but not least, thanks to @spotlight_costumespropsevents for helping me find my costume! 💙 #booksbringustogether #readingisfun #literacymatters #janeausten #bookclub #friends #authors #reading #nonprofit #charity #plentybookshop

I’m not good at this, but here it goes. Jesse was so welcoming to new designers and made friends with everyone he came across. Maybe it was just my deer in the headlights look, but Jesse took my brother and I under his wing in our early days of design. He used to invite us out to Poet’s to work on design projects on the weekends and we’d give each other feedback. Jesse was never one to gatekeep and always shared his vast knowledge of all things art and design with anyone who needed help. He helped me grow as a designer and always pushed me to be better. He even encouraged me as I ventured into ceramics. Jesse was the type of person who could make your stomach hurt from laughing so hard one minute and be a shoulder to lean on during an existential crisis the next. He always made me feel seen and comfortable to be myself. He was passionate about many things and gave everything he did one hundred percent of himself. Just like the time during finals week when I got out of my last class and he was laying on his back on a bench at the BFA. I started talking to him and quickly realized he was actually asleep. His snores echoed through the main floor from the great acoustics in there. 😂 I couldn’t resist, so I took a Live Photo and sent it to him lol. It was always fun to hear stories about his latest passion. Jesse was a bit of a music snob and loved to make fun of my current favorites on Spotify. 😂 He had a good sense of fashion and a love for putting googly eyes on inanimate objects because “it makes things more fun.” I may or may not have fed that habit 👀. Jesse had a huge impact on the art community in Cookeville and on our lives. I was glad that he was doing well these last few months and loving life. It seemed like he had found himself and was truly happy. I’m glad he was doing something he loved. Jesse, I wish we had gotten to spend more time together, but life and busy schedules got in the way. I wish I had more pictures with you too. I’m so grateful for the time we did have together and the memories we made, I’ll always cherish them. I’m glad I had the privilege of knowing you. We love you and miss you deeply. Rest In Peace, Jesse. 💙

My #montypythonandtheholygrail two-part mold chess set for intermediate hand building is done! This final project was a labor of love. Everything that could possibly go wrong did, but I finished it! (A few coconuts short. 🥴) This was my first time using gold luster and it turned out really nice! Thanks for all your help @glassrockpottery ! 🤴🏻🥥💣🏰🐇🗡

The glazed and finished versions of the metamorphosis cat series. I absolutely love how they turned out. For the last photo, I imagine my cat is thinking “why are they allowed on the table and I’m not?” 😂🐈

My attempt at trying to recreate @oldforgecreations pebble bowl. Also my first time using underglazes. I’m not mad about either of them. This bowl is actually my favorite out of all of the ones I made. • • • #tntechart #tntechschoolofartcraftanddesign #tntechceramics #tntechcraftcenter #ceramics #pottery #art #wheelthrown #bowls #cups #stonewarepottery #glazes #underglaze #onepunchman #themandalorian #oldforgecreations #inspired
