Got to go to Durango and hang out with @benjamin_kraushaar and shoot some photos for @gladeoptics last month.
Sorry ahead of time how much you’re about to see me in Glade ads 😂
But, always fun getting to Hang with Ben, and I sure do love Durango.
Day three was fulllllll of shots at schooling, floating, mudding, you name it they were doing it, permits shots.
Still those assholes didn’t want to commit to eating literally every fly I brought 🤣
Day 4 jumped a 100+ pound tarpon , and landed this bad boi. Also played with Snooki, and again got snubbed by the permit 🤣
This was by far the best weather and fishing we’ve experienced down here.
Reallllly don’t wanna go home tomorrow.
Will forever cherish getting to sit on a rock in the middle of a river under a waterfall and get lost in my brain.
Forever a sad boi at heart 😂
Grateful for this life and the places it brings me. 🫶🏻
Turns out a Flyfishing reel doesn’t need to look like a spaceship, or be painted like a beer can to be cool.
The classic trout, puts the class in classic. And won’t leave ya broke, so you can afford a few more flies, or actual beers, whatever you think catches more fish 😂
Jokes aside, I’m Hyped on this thing though. I love the sound of a classic click and pawl reel while a trout makes a run. It’s a sound that’s been unique to us fly fisherpeoples for literally hundreds of years and we all know it instantly.
Good job @redingtongear this things gonna live in the quiver for a longtime.
Little process video of the Idaho trout map I did for @projectbigwood

Honored to be included, and to be able to play even a small part in keeping that place, the incredibly special place it is.

Not much makes me more happy fishing than a no wind day out east, smallies exploding on a bugle bug.
Hopefully they will still be around when I’m able to get back out there in a few weeks.

April.
Made the pilgrimage from Phoenix to Portland. Practiced some homelessness in the rig along the way.
Roo was both the absolute worst, and best dog this month. And now has a new best friend ozzy.
Saw all my favorite people before I left, on the road, and since I’ve been back.
Life is really fun again, right now.
There’s nothing better than a pnw summer, and, it feels like summer already. 💃💃
The most troubled waters in the west. But no better place to swing a fly.

Currently sick as hell and YouTube just keeps force feeding me Baja Roosterfish videos.
Yeah I get it. I’d rather be doing that right now too 😂😂 thanks algorithm.

Hyped I can get a few laps in at the old water park before I head north, and before the rubber hatch REALLY begins.
The bass are small, but plentiful. The sun is hot, but the water is cold. And theres not much that makes me happier than a day in some water in a place where there isn’t much.
