Winter approaches. Shop life. Almost thirty years of it. Fifteen of those years alongside @bernietomassetti and crew at @powdertools . In Bernie’s words, “It’s part of who you are.” Well as winter approaches it got me thinking. I’ve decided to tell some of those stories. Not everyone will like them but so what. It was -20° that morning. There was no one else in the parking lot. We knew it would be extremely cold but sunny that day. So we wore every layer we had and dealt with the cold. Of course, Pash had an idea. 20 min sled later we arrived. I picked a spot and he hiked up. A little pat down of the takeoff. He went first and got this Indy grab. I shot the frame. He comes to me after and I show him the shot in the camera....
Alex: "Ooo nice one."
Kurtis: "You're welcome."
Alex: "I meant me."
--laughter--
Alex: "Ok Kurtees. Go kick out a Müller method."
- I hike up and hit it. He shot a frame.-
Alex: "That was not Müller."
Kurtis: "..."
Fair to say Alex did it better. Good thing he had an A+ photographer to capture it. 😉

Unforgettable weekend in the Wasatch. Thank you @ridesnowboards for hosting us at one of the best events in snowboarding. Thanks to @thebombhole for crafting such a sick event in the snowboard community. A photo exhibit benefiting the scholarship will take place March 20 in Steamboat, coinciding with the Pash & Burn Banked Slalom, TNF MTN Mix, and CORE Rail Jam. Proceeds from print sales (as well as limited tees and stickers) will go toward the scholarship.
Was reading that red/magenta/purple aurora come from severe geomagnetic storms. Takes a tremendous amount of energy to excite O2 particles at that altitude. Very rare. Very cool. Amazing to see with the naked eye. 🌞✨🌈

Also learned that at that distance you don't use the word altitude anymore. Super far.
