It’s my beloved pal @sushifromthefuture 30th bday today. A true gift to share this trip on earth with this man. The most kind soul. A profound thinker. A Deep listener. Wildly playful and funny. An absolute rascal. An insane musician and creative. Enjoyer of Guinness. // Gabe played “Hush Creek” for the first time for me and @popgoesweasel and a couple summers back and it absolutely leveled me. “Well the kitchen sink is getting full / I wish it was my fault / it’s been awhile since I cooked at home / it’s been awhile since I’ve been around at all” - lines I can’t listen to without getting weepy. It’s crushingly honest and tender. Truly one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard and been a part of. Love you dearly Gabe. Endlessly grateful for your friendship, love, creativity, ear and spirit.
