Man, I have been struggling to post this for sometime on IG. I don’t even know why because I am so excited for my next adventure. But here we go… 2025 was my official last wedding season EVER. I shot my first wedding 16 years ago and now I am off on a new journey. As many know, I am a homeschool mother of ✌️ and for YEARS I have felt a battle between being a full time wedding photographer and motherhood.
For the past 4 years specifically, I have battled with stretching myself too thin, not being able to balance both family life and work life and ALL parts of my life have suffered because of it. Then I got Shingles last March. It change my entire life. I struggled with the healing process and still have major hearing issues because of it ( Ramsey Hunt Syndrome) and at this point will never heal. I suffer from chronic migraine and at the age of almost 39, they are getting worse. More debilitating. In everything, the Lord was showing me what to do. It was time to end a wonderful run of wedding photography and focus on family and health.
So that is what I am doing and can I tell you something… I am SO excited! I LOVE being a mom to my girls and know that it is the MOST important job in this world. What Jesus has truly called me to do. I’m excited to set out of this new adventure in life. So if you stick around, you will see me on my life adventures as a Christian homeschool momma, mini farm owner, Godly woman, and home decor and fashion lover. Oh let’s not forget, we LOVE Disney around here.
