Hangs with the lovely @maddie.thomson@tessmanagement ✨💫 🇬🇧 🇦🇺
The idea for this shoot was all about capturing Maddy strolling through the streets of London, making the most of the British sun. We played with some reflected light, used a few glass surfaces from buildings to reflect light here and there, and even let the sun shine straight into the lens for some cool flares.
The goal was to reveal the movement slowly as we went along. Plus, we shot with the wind direction, which ended up making everything look cinematic and gave the footage a real natural vibe! 💫✨

Compression!
Attention now is brutally short, and compression helps you get your point across in less time quickly and effectively so your viewers remember it

Tropicana spent $35 million redesigning their packaging!
Within 8 weeks they’d lost $50 million in sales and they hadn’t changed the juice at all.

In January 2021, Bottega Veneta deleted their Instagram account.
2.5 million followers. Gone.
No explanation. No goodbye post. Nothing.
While every brand was fighting for more attention, they chose silence.
And somehow, that silence made the brand feel even more exclusive, more talked about, and more desired.
Sometimes luxury is not about being seen everywhere.
Sometimes it’s about being impossible to access.

Apple was not always the big success as we know it now!! And there is a very powerful marketing lesson hidden between the lines here.

I’ve worked across three very different continents.
Sat in rooms with some of the most resourced brands on the planet.
And the thing that stays with me isn’t the budgets or the campaigns or the global launches.
It’s how many people in those rooms, talented, educated, well-paid people, were quietly waiting for someone else to tell them what they stood for.
Not because they weren’t smart enough to figure it out. But because they’d never actually decided to.
We are living in a genuinely unprecedented moment.
You can learn almost anything for free. Build a business from your phone. Reach an audience without a publishing deal, a network, or a legacy.
The barrier between who you are and who you could become has never been lower.
And yet the most common thing I see in founders, in brand teams, in people building something real, is a strange paralysis dressed up as busyness. Doing a lot. Deciding very little.
Yes, the world has problems. It always has. It always will. That’s not a reason. That’s just reality.
At some point the question stops being about opportunity. Because the opportunity is sitting right there.
The question becomes whether you’re actually willing to decide something. About your brand. About your direction. About what you’re building and why.
Most people don’t have a resource problem. They don’t have a timing problem.
They have a commitment problem. And that’s the thing I find hardest to watch, because the window is open right now. Wider than it’s ever been.
What you do with that is entirely up to you.
