Diary, sometime in August
I was about to sleep. I did my bedtime routine and had a sleeping mask on my head, ready to block out the incoming sunrise. I glanced out my bedroom window and was taken back by the most surreal sunrise I've ever seen. I leaped out of bed to watch it. 10 minutes in, I figured that I should shoot some of it, but I had a hard time capturing how beautiful it was. The whole sky was covered in dark, fluffy, spidery-like clouds, with the peaking light from the sun behind it all. It kept moving and developing, like a film or a deep meditation. Looking back on the photos, I couldn't do justice to mother nature, but I only wanted a memory of her. So I stayed watching the sky for an hour or so. It made up for the cool, dark, and gloomy weather of this past summer.
