It was an incredible experience being part of the CPFF Infernal Cinema event , where all the official selection horror short films were screened. I’m truly grateful to have won the Audience’s Nightmare Award, voted by the amazing audience! A huge congratulations to all short films screened that day, everyone did an outstanding job. Big thanks to all who voted for me and supported my film. Massive appreciation to @cpffestival for organizing such a wonderful event.❤️

New year. New frames. New stories to tell.🎬🎥
2024–2025 taught me a lot. Living abroad changed me in ways I never expected. Coming far away to chase my career made me realise how serious and committed I truly am. Looking back at my old short films/projects reminds me where I started and that’s exactly why today I’m pushing harder, taking bigger steps, and aiming higher. This journey isn’t easy, but it’s worth every sacrifice. More to go!

@kavinthkumar_ is a talented filmmaker from Kuala Lumpur who is currently based in the United Kingdom. His short film LOCK DOWN has been shortlisted at the Coventry Phoenix Film Festival, marking an important step in his growing international journey.
Before moving to the UK, Kavinth worked on several Malaysian productions including projects with Astro. He played the lead role in Kuttram Kuttrame directed by @sandoshkesavan and also served as an assistant editor for Sight and Sound by the same director.
With his creativity and passion for storytelling, Kavinth Kumar continues to make Malaysia proud on the international stage.
