KAV helmets have long caught my eye. How could they not? The unique honey comb design, the colors, and the fit, were all details that I found appealing. Come to find out, KAV embodies a great deal more beyond just looks that resonates with me. The bottom point in the below list is one of my favorite features and is truly exciting as I look forward to key races such as @gravel_worlds where heat is a major factor.
🇺🇸 3D printed in the USA and come with 5 year warranty and 100% crash replacement!
🌎 Each helmet is made to order thus the company is able to eliminate the need for large inventories and potential waste.
🏁 They are committed to sustainable manufacturing AND superior performance.
🍯 KAV uses a hex honeycomb structure ™️ which has been show to outperform traditional helmets by nearly 3x in absorbing impact.
🧊 Because of the above mentioned structure, there is no need for foam which in a nutshell, is insulation. Insulation is designed to trap heat and it follows therefore that traditional helmets, particularly aero helmets, make it much more difficult to keep the head cool. This problem is out of the picture when wearing a KAV helmet which not only allows for great airflow, but lets heat escape, positively impacting performance.
I am inspired and honored to represent @kavhelmets in 2026!

One year ago, we brought the Rhoan into the wind tunnel.
Not for marketing.
Not for headlines.
But to pressure-test our ideas in the real world—air, speed, and a rider who knows exactly how it should feel.
With @tjeisenhart on the bike, we spent days refining fit, airflow, and positioning inside @a2windtunnel
Before the helmet had a name.
Before it ever reached a rider.
Real testing. Real people. Real performance.
Can a 3D-printed helmet really be safe?
Fair question.
Ours earned a 5-Star Virginia Tech Safety Rating using a dual-density hex lattice that manages impact inside the structure itself. #GetOutThere
