Нубийцы считались одними из лучших воинов и лучников древнего мира, а сам Асуан долгое время был важным торговым городом на Ниле. Рядом с городом также добывали знаменитый асуанский гранит, из которого создавали обелиски, статуи и храмы по всему Египту.

Aswan is the southernmost major city in Egypt and one of the main places connected to Nubian culture.
For thousands of years, this was where Ancient Egypt and Nubia intersected - a region south of Egypt with its own culture, language, and traditions.
Nubians were considered some of the best warriors and archers of the ancient world, while Aswan itself was an important trading city on the Nile for a long time. Near the city, the famous Aswan granite was also quarried - the same stone used to create obelisks, statues, and temples across Egypt.
