In 2020, the summer before my senior year of high school, Tippy and I made an epic solo. The process was fueled by the absurdity of competition dance and pure love for the stage. Every step is a comedy bit. Performing Bennie is an absolute heart gush every single time, and it made me realize that dance theater is the medium Iāve been practicing my whole life for without knowing it. Now I have a BFA in dance and Iām going back to Bennie, but this time itās a duet.
Iāve been praying for the chance to share the stage with tippy again for so long, and this show could not be a more perfect vessel. I am so honored to be part of this work. So humbled and inspired by Trin and their commitment to the bit. Absolutely in awe of my fellow cast members. Get your butt to LA and come see this mania for yourself.š”

This piece was born in my head about a year ago when I was sitting in Beauās room listening to him play music. Thereās something so surreal about reacting to brand new stimuli on stage and I think it parallels the ongoing combustion of a sibling friendship.
