BREAKING NEWS- As of May 4th, 2026, a recall petition has been formally filed against Governor Jeff Landry in accordance with Louisiana law governing the recall of elected officials.
The effort is being organized by Baton Rouge community advocate, activist, and Chairman of the Landry recall, Marian Gbaiwon, alongside Baton Rouge native and Co-Chair of the Landry recall, Kati S.
Organizers cite a pattern of actions and public statements that they believe undermine fair representation, misalign state priorities away from the needs of Louisiana communities, and emphasize punitive approaches over meaningful, long-term solutions.
Based on current estimates, the recall effort will require approximately 600,000 valid signatures from registered voters across Louisiana to move forward in the process.
Under Louisiana law, recall petitions must be signed in person by registered voters within the designated jurisdiction and timeframe. If the required number of valid signatures is obtained and verified, the recall process may proceed to the next stage as outlined by the state.
The petition has been submitted through the appropriate channels and will move forward in accordance with procedures overseen by the Louisiana Secretary of State.
About the Recall Process
Recall efforts in Louisiana are governed by state law, which establishes requirements for signature collection, verification, and eligibility. Only registered voters within the relevant jurisdiction may participate in signing a recall petition.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!!
We seeing way too many random graphics, posts, and personal promotions being made around this movement, and it’s creating confusion. We’re putting an end to it right now.
You have 30 minutes after this post goes up to delete EVERY personal graphic related to Louisiana Deserves Better or petition signings that was not directly approved by us.
If you did not communicate with us, show us the graphic, receive approval from us, or get direction from us, DELETE IT. Immediately.
After 30 minutes, anything still up will be publicly flagged as unauthorized and fraudulent. We will publicly clarify that you are NOT working with us, NOT affiliated with us, and are acting completely on your own.
Let’s be very clear. A lot of people are trying to jump on this movement for clout, attention, followers, business promotion, or to put their face on something they did not build.
Meanwhile, people like myself and Kaitlyn are losing sleep every single night thinking about the condition of our city and our state. I PERSONALLY have been out here advocating, speaking up, organizing, and putting my name, my business, and face on the line YEARS to the point where I was blacklisted in my entire city before this moment ever happened.
So no, you are not going to take what we built out of genuine pain, concern, and love for Louisiana and turn it into your personal branding opportunity.
We are absolutely open to partnerships, collaboration, and support. But that comes through communication, structure, and approval. It does NOT come from people going rogue, making their own materials, confusing the public, and attaching our name to things we never authorized.
This movement requires organization because people are trusting us with their signatures, information, and time. If you have not been properly trained or guided by us, you should not be out here presenting yourself as if you represent this movement.
We’re nipping this in the bud right now.
30 minutes.
This will be the last time this warning is given.
Liz murrill and Jeff Landry are both being recalled. Head to the organizers website to find out where you can sign.

#REPOST
BREAKING NEWS:
The two women who previously filed the recall petition against Governor Jeff Landry have now officially filed a recall petition against Liz Murrill, making her the third Louisiana government official to face a recall petition in 2026.
The filing comes amid growing statewide frustration over leadership, government overreach, election controversies, and concerns surrounding transparency and accountability in Louisiana politics.
According to organizers, the movement is rapidly expanding across Louisiana, with volunteers, signing stations, and supporters mobilizing throughout multiple regions of the state.
