BESTŌ was never just a clothing brand, it has always been a self-love movement. Bestō was born from my own self-love journey… a deep process of going within to the heart, accepting myself, remembering my truth, and choosing me again and again. BEING SEEN: Awakening to Love My book is a compilation of my self-love journey and some of the important moments that shaped me along the way. I share parts of my past that influenced how I viewed myself, the ways I became conditioned and disconnected, and the journey of unraveling and returning back to love❤️ A major turning point for me was an Ayahuasca ceremony and the deep integration work that followed — embodying what I learned until love became truth in my body and life. In the back of the book are 9 “Activations,” practices designed to help activate self-love, reconnect to your truth, and embody love more fully in your daily life. Right now, I’m reading my closing reflection from Activation 2: Embodying Presence, where I write about reconnecting to the body, the breath, and the Higher Self. About slowing down enough to truly hear ourselves again, soften into the present moment, and remember the wisdom, love, and wholeness that already lives within us. One of my favorite moments of this event was speaking about our connection to nature and hearing the plant respond with these sparkly, magical notes through the music!! Pure magic listening to plant music thru @plantwave What an honor to share cacao, a gentle heart medicine provided by @erikaramelli , while connecting to our hearts, listening to the plants and guiding a meditation rooted in love and connection! The plants remind us that we are nature, not separate from her, deeply connected to all 💓 Plants have so much wisdom to share…They grow toward the light. They remind us that what we water or give our energy to expands, and that the mind is like a garden… the seeds we plant grow into beliefs, which are the architects of our reality! After the meditation, when the mind is softened and open to receive, I love speaking affirmations, here planting seeds of love, worthiness, gratitude, allowing them to land within the body and heart and mind. Friends and family… she’s finally published 🙏🏼🥹 This book has been such a journey for me. Several years in the making. I want to thank everyone who encouraged me to keep going, who read the first rough versions over a year ago, and who believed in me when I needed support. I never really thought I’d write a book or call myself an author… but this is something deeper than that. It’s my heart on paper. Every time I read or edited it, it brought me into another layer of healing and deeper within myself. Writing about my experiences, my past, my patterns, my awakening, and my self-love journey, transformed me too. I’ve realized there is something so powerful about sharing our stories. When we keep everything isolated inside of us, our experiences can continue to hold a charge within us. But when we bring them into the light… when we allow ourselves to be seen in our vulnerability… we alchemize it. And sharing is caring, because not only do we realize we are not alone, our story can become medicine for someone else too. Sharing creates connection. Connection is love. And love transforms. I believe one of the most generous things we can do is share our hearts honestly, because it reminds others they are not alone. We are all connected. This book is about how I became the love of my life. But to get here, I had to walk through a lot of darkness, shame, heartbreak, unlearning, healing, rewriting, and remembering. My prayer is that these words help others reconnect to the love that has always existed within them. That they remember who they are beneath any conditioning, masks, or fear. That you remember your worth. Your light. Your divinity. The love you seek has always been within you. I love plants (I have 50 in my home, currently!) They remind me that we are nature, not separate from it, and part of the beauty of creation.
