Today, I dropped my son off at college.
And my heart is full.
I’ve spent most of the past 18 years behind the camera—capturing growth and love for others.
When he was a toddler, we didn’t step in front of the lens often… (me really)
but that one photo has always been my favorite.
And now—just before sending him off to study business at Bryant University—
I did it again.
These portraits mean everything.
They mark a new chapter.
A young man becoming.
And a mama’s heart holding on, and letting go.

Back to where it all began — Humphrey, Nebraska 🌽✨
Our founder Kristen brought the kids (and Katie from the Kadeema team!) home for a summer visit to the family farm. A place of slow mornings, giant tractors, and the kind of simple joys that never go out of style.
Kristen comes from a long line of corn and bean farmers, and that work ethic still shows up in everything she touches — including how Kadeema curates rentals for events, editorials, and creative spaces. Her roots in Midwest living remind us that intention matters, and great design doesn’t have to be loud to be unforgettable.
This trip was a breath of fresh air — filled with family, good laughs, and a little design project we can’t wait to share soon 👀
