O projeto educativo do FICS está de volta.
Em 2026, o festival cresce de cinco para sete dias também para responder à procura das escolas e abrir mais espaço ao público escolar, às famílias e às novas gerações de espectadores.
“Sementes e Rebentos” é a secção dedicada aos públicos mais jovens: um programa de cinema pensado para descobrir o mundo através da imagem, da imaginação, da natureza e da relação com a Terra.
As sessões para escolas, realizadas nas manhãs dos dias úteis do festival, são acompanhadas por monitores e seguidas de atividades orientadas pelos serviços educativos, criando um espaço de conversa, descoberta e participação depois dos filmes.
No dia 30 de maio, às 10h30, há uma sessão especial dedicada ao trabalho da realizadora
@katiegely , que estará presente no festival para uma atividade com as famílias após a exibição dos filmes, dinamizada em conjunto com os serviços educativos do FICS.

The FICS educational programme is back.
In 2026, the festival expands from five to seven days, partly in response to growing demand from schools and to create more space for students, families and new generations of viewers.
“Seeds & Sprouts” is the section dedicated to younger audiences: a film programme designed to explore the world through images, imagination, nature and our relationship with the Earth.
The school sessions are accompanied by educational mediators and followed by activities led by the festival’s educational team, creating space for conversation, discovery and participation after the screenings.
The family session is dedicated to the work of filmmaker Kati Egely, who will be present at the festival for an activity for families following the screenings, organised together with the FICS educational team.
