I had an unexpected treat earlier this week. I was on a shoot for #thetelegraphmagazine with @markehix (seeing him work in his own kitchen is a wild treat in itself!) Mark has some rather delightful alternative Christmas recipes coming up in the Christmas food issue later this month (strongly recommend keeping an eye out for that one - the recipes, photography and styling are just stuuuunning).
With my raging food intolerances from MCAS, chemical sensitivities and a rare autoimmune complication, I haven’t eaten anything where I haven’t sourced the ingredients in nearly 6years. I most definitely haven’t been to a restaurant in that time. It’s virtually impossible for me to eat on the go, so I end up fasting a lot of the time - particularly with IRL work situations so as to avoid a reaction. Tricky one to navigate (and hide) on a food shoot 😅
Well… on discovering this Mark asked what I could eat, nipped into the garden and rustled up this bowl of absolute deliciousness for my lunch! I was totally blown away and feel well and truly spoilt. I can’t tell you how exciting it was to eat something an excellent chef had prepared 💛 he also gave me some great tips on countryside foraging so I’m looking forward to leaving the city and getting a bit more flavour back into my life.
*pictures not on the Christmas menu or annnnything related to the shoot, my own (rather rubbish) ones!
Reelly great cover in this weeks #telegraphmagazine Fab team effort and so much fun to work on a shoot with so many production elements with such a satisfying result! That’s what 2000ft of film looks like when it’s all rolled up!

Super thanks to @irene1791@mdmeedt@harvirg@boyle.joseph for the crash course in film film and ideas on how on earth to pull this together to make it authentic! And extremely grateful to @kodak_shootfilm for actually loading the thing 🎞️
Living my Greys Anatomy dreams producing this shoot on the human Guinea pigs taking part in flu camp trials for The Telegraph Magazine.
I did not get to keep the scrubs.

(Are you really even a photographer if you haven’t got at least one project with a mountain in it?)
