I thought it was time for an updated profile picture! What an incredible journey all of this already was! I am very grateful for all the experiences I gained and friends I made. ❤️
The four puzzles in the background all represent some special milestone:
- London Townhouses was the first puzzle I ever intentionally speed puzzled. My final time was 47:36.
- Evening in Pisa was my competition debut puzzle at my first worlds in 2023. I lost to Alejandro only by 16 seconds.
- Paris Postcard was the puzzle that brought me a record: Fastest time of solving a 500 piece puzzle at the WJPC. I did it in 26:39.
- Succulent Love made me the official German Champion of Speedpuzzling in February this year.
Thanks to everyone who was and is a part of this wonderful journey.

First of all: I am so proud of Wiktor and me. Not only for our accomplishments - but also for our growing friendship despite this competitive rivalry and pressure. I didn‘t take a single photo of me with my trophy alone - they all include Wiktor as well. I think that says it all. Thank you for being such a wonderful (basic) person!❤️
This new competition format required next level mental stability and strength. Eating Salmiakki all day long, good music and doing some push ups were big helpers - but not as big as my friends. Thank you all for cheering me on, believing in me, pushing me and calming me down.🥺

A new world record for a speed puzzle was set on 9th September 2025 during EJJ #92 by Kathi Reiner @kathi.puzzles ! 😲⏱️
Congratulations Kathi on this impressive feat! 🙌🎉
A time of 26:27 for a 500 piece puzzle equates to 18.9 pieces per minute (PPM). 🤯
Why am I only announcing it now, two months later? To be honest, I completely overlooked the fact as there was a lot going on and many things to celebrate with the reveal of my puzzle Mood Board:
* Four individuals managed a sub-30 time, the others being Wiktor Kacprzak @wiktord.puzzler , Jagoda Kubiak @jagoberry_puzzles and Lenka Henao Mišíková @puzz.lenka . 🔥
* All 181 participants completed the puzzle in the two hour time limit! 💪
* Around 30 participants achieved a personal best time. 🥳
* Additionally it was the last online competition before the 2025 World Championship, so there was a lot of talk about the coming week.
The previous fastest time was 27:56 by Maartje van der Meer @maartje_puzzling which was achieved during the Dutch Championship in April 2025 with an unpublished Jan van Haasteren image.
Wiktor managed to beat the previous record twice with his time for EJJ #92 - 27:17 and EJJ #100 - 26:38, just 11 seconds shy of Kathi's fastest time.
The fastest time on an unreleased puzzle at World's is 29:51 by Wiktor with Blossom Walk.
It's mind-blowing how previously imagined impossible times are becoming possible.
Just two years ago the record for an already published puzzle was 30:38, set by Tereza Koptíková @terezak.85 , which was broken last year by Kristin Thuv @kristin_puzzles and Kathi in the preliminary rounds with 26:56 and 26:39 respectively.
That record further dropped this year when Wiktor solved New York Postcard in 22:02.
It's incredibly exciting to see records being broken, especially with unpublished puzzles. Congratulations to all the speedy speedsters!

Katharina Reiner from Germany has closed the 2025 competition season with stellar results all throughout the year, achieving the title of European Champion in all three categories in Hungary in July and a podium placement in all three categories at the World Jigsaw Puzzle Championship in Spain in September. She has now agreed to an interview with SPN.

Ich heiße Kathi Reiner, bin 21 Jahre alt, Informatikstudentin und vor allem leidenschaftliche (Speed-)Puzzlerin.

First competition at @worldjigsawpuzzle championship with an unreleased puzzle: check! I am very relieved that I was able to get into the zone again. In the afternoon I took some me time by the river to prepare mentally and I‘m happy it paid off. ☺️🌈

Not only did we get those fancy socks and tshirts (let‘s hope I don’t need the charm of my lucky shirt anymore🤞🏻) - butttt look at these shoes!✨ I‘m completely in awe! Can‘t wait to finally wear them!
