So excited and proud to share that Searching for Terry Punchout, by my husband Tyler Hellard, was selected for @cbc #canadareads2026Huge thanks to @stevedangle for championing the book and to @joyce_byrne for her delightfully strange and serendipitous part in bringing this novel to a larger audience. And of course to @invisibooks for publishing it in the first place and @cbc for promoting Canadian books with this program that has been running for 25 years! I’m beyond grateful.

Got to preview the new sandwiches that will be available at @mercato_mission in January. Soooo delicious! I really loved the mortadella on focaccia and the carne on ciabatta. Thank you so much for the invitation Mercato! I haven’t been in in a while and the space is beautiful and so welcoming.

@bactouring Lion King is on at @jubilee_ab in Calgary until August 17. It’s a magical show — I have no other assessment, just go see it. Our family was given tickets by @bactouring and @shareworthypr and the whole family loved every minute.

Thank you @flintrockranch for hosting us this weekend — we had such a wonderful time staying in the gorgeous refurbished airstream. This beautiful working ranch has two cabins and two airstreams for guests and a really cute cookhouse. Just a two hour drive from Calgary (but take the slightly longer Cowboy Trail route instead!) Bookings are open online. Check it out.

Running 10k is not unlike working on a magazine for almost 20 years. You just start and don’t stop and then there you are. It’s kind of crazy and a lot of people won’t understand why you’re doing it. But you also get to do it with a lot of great people who do understand. Thanks for putting on a great event @calgarymarathon and thanks for the amazing running socks @shoveover

Hey Toronto, can your mayor do this? Loved the energy and joy in the room at @yycarts for The Mayor’s Celebration for the Arts. It certainly felt like a great day in the Blue Sky City with @jyotigondek onstage with @lisajuliejacobs! And we got to be there giving out @thescenecalgary buttons and stickers and celebrating alongside Calgary’s amazing arts community.
