So happy to have won 2nd place in the @lensculture Portrait Prize Single image catergory with my portrait of ‘Olive’! It feels wonderful to have the work from my series ‘Eleven’ be recognised in this way. I have been photographing girls for this series for quite some time now and I’m not entirely sure when I will stop as I enjoy coming back to it every summer. Absolutely thrilled to share the news that this portrait has been selected for this years Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize and will be exhibited @nationalportraitgallery this November. I have been going to see this show since I was at college so it’s a real privilege to be a part of it and show my work alongside so many incredible photographers.

This portrait of my dear friend Tam is part of a new series of work documenting their transition. Tam and I first met at the school gates when both our sons started school and I’ve witnessed many highs and lows along their journey. This series explores not just the physical transformation, but also the emotional resilience and self-discovery inherent in the process. Through these images, I aim to celebrate Tam’s courage and contribute to the broader conversation on identity and visibility. Excited to share more from this series over the coming weeks.

318 photographers from 41 countries were shortlisted from over 10,000 entries, so it means a great deal to have this series of work recognised in this way.
