When your 2-Michelin-star chef friend @noahsandoval asked, “Want to join me for dinner at Aska?” …there’s really only one answer: YES, CHEF! 🥰😉
First impressions matter, and being personally greeted by Chef @fredrikberselius immediately set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Every course was exceptionally thoughtful, creative, and beautifully paced — somehow each dish kept getting better and better. Like a symphony orchestra building toward its finale, every bite felt intentional and perfectly composed.
One of those meals where you just pause, look around the table, and think… okay, THAT was insane. A reminder that food can truly be art.
The menu read like poetry from the Nordic wilderness: blue mussel with sea oak, live scallop from Cape Cod with black currant leaf, grilled langoustine with red gooseberry, venison with pine mushrooms and wild herbs… but the standout dishes for me were absolutely the caviar and the quail. The caviar course — kingfish from Denmark with Oscietra caviar and smoked eel — was pure elegance and depth in one bite. And the dry-aged quail with preserved black and white truffle? Unreal. One of those dishes you keep thinking about long after dinner ends.
