Roses, abutilon, irises, peonies, verbascum, hesperis and every sort of allium and euphorbia zinging in the #walledgarden at SergeHill. Lots of weeding and I’m making a cake a day for the #ngs charity garden opening on the 7th June (online booking in advance) when we’re open from 1-5.00 with the barn and the #sergehillproject @hertsngs@suestuartsmith@tomstuartsmith@sergehillproject . #sergehill RAIN! We’re open to visitors first time this year on Tuesday… tulips have nearly ended (a bit early for lack of water) and there’s now a sea of alliums, anthriscus, malus hupehensis and euphorbia. Peonies and irises just beginning. Oh I love May! Playing the Dvorak quartet next weekend…

#sergehill #walledgarden there’s a late summer haze with bupleurum falcatum echoing the mass of self seeded fennel, eryngiums and echinops, dahlias and eucomis - and some heaven sent 🌧️. AND We had a wonderful plant fair here last week thanks to @sergehillproject@tomstuartsmith and @suestuartsmith - I hope now an annual fixture!

The garden feels 2 weeks ahead - the courgette love it! Peppers and tomatoes are too hot in the greenhouse at over 40 degrees. Perennials are flowering for a short time and going to seed ….We’ve had our last group visit for the year except for the plant fair roadshow on 27th July - tickets online in advance from @sergehillproject@tomstuartsmith@suestuartsmith
