Inspiring artist talk by Alice Kettle #alicekettle. Her incredible work explores the personal and political. A long time supporter of refugees and asylum seekers, she has collaborated with many creating her work. As Trump is sworn in today in the US, ( after a disastrous Biden IMO) I fear what lies ahead for us globally. But there is always hope that the ‘winds of change’ will eventually put up back on the right track towards justice and peace for all.
Metalwork. A simple coat hook created an opportunity to learn many skills including welding. It felt like a ‘flashdance’ moment - iconic 80’s music video of a woman welding ( and dancing). 🤣. Hence the cheesy music.
