Cheers to Kate & Ryan š Last Weekend was definitely an adventure from the old streets of New Orleans to the beautiful bayou š wonderful wedding with enough chaos to prove itāll be a long and happy marriage. Frozen Irish coffees, oyster shells, swamp tours, and EDM in a plastic floaty lagoon ā¦ it was perfect.

Went on a work adventure trip to Miami with David. We are celebrating 12 years of friendship & working together. Dude is family and our Aries & Sagittarius fire blends well. I havenāt been to Miami since I was 18 on my own. To experience it now made me learn one thingā¦. The clubs really donāt like men in mesh tank tops š the dress code and door entries everywhere was a bit much, and made me feel a bit more pride in @ladylovedallas š. But hey. @danteshifi@miasoundbar@1800lucky@sweetlibertymia and @righthandmiami win my heart for bars with delicious cocktails, incredible sound, and just all around good energy. Iāve been wanting to check these spots out for a while and they were perfect.

The greatest wealth is the company kept and the ability to live the life you desire. So I feel very rich. Last night I celebrated my birthday with some friends, and the combination of yapping and cocktails was ideal for 33. Iāll be an old lady someday with happy lines. Thanks for the birthday wishes. I canāt tell if this is all luck, hard work, or karmaā¦ but itās a good life and this next year is a wedding and house and business expansionā¦. Sooooo Iāll be in a clouds of happiness (and stress, because Iām a hyper planner and planning a wedding feels like the most important event Iāve had to put togetherš). Happy I brought the Polaroid out yesterday.

I turn 33 next week. I wish I could tell younger me how great itās all gonna be ā¤ļø Iām consistently grateful for everything. The range, the conversation, and the company kept. We bought our dream home yesterday and itās got a damn pool! work is growing past the brick walls, and the time thatās made for friends is always spent well. The hard work with love & intention pays off. Iām also consistently inspired by all the women in my life who own/run businesses and do it all. We can all have our cake. Dallas really does have a force of woman entrepreneurs, and it makes me more and more excited to create more.

Secondly, @tillatec is one of the best clubs Iāve ever been toā¦ we need more DIY spaces that reject phones & bright lights. Spaces with heart & soul & a little bit of chaos. Thirdly, Iāll never say no to a Photo Booth photo š

I can understand why anyone would want to live in Amsterdam. This city is in my top 5. If I lived here Iād be the healthiest version of myself, and I hate knowing that.
I went to this incredible DIY club last night, it was built inside what used to be a school. No photos or videos allowedā¦ leave it in a locker upon entry. The music and ambience were so perfect. Dark and red neon which Iām a sucker for. Each room and corner something afoot creatively. It inspired me. Easily danced for 5 hours. Lost in sauce.
Then today we went to a spa to sweat out the party. Also no phones. I havenāt been to a spa where men and women are both naked sweating it out and swimming togetherā¦ it was refreshing. Iām pretty self conscious of my body, but once you got so many naked people in one place of all ages and sizes itās easy to forget youāre bare. The bodies just seem like weird flesh vessels of stretchy parts and wrinkles. To sit in a hot banja sauna looking over the Maarsseveense Plassen while itās frigid outside was a detox I didnāt know I needed. Spiritual to an atheist good. No distractions. Havenāt felt that peaceful in years. It wasnāt sweating out the highs of the night beforeā¦ I realized the detox was my phone. Iām constantly on my phoneā¦ mostly for workā¦ but itās hard for me to unplug while owning a business. Especially when my job is booking & social media in a spot thatās never closed and always busy. I counted 40 messages having it turned off for 5 hours, and I immediately felt guilty for turning it offā¦ like I abandoned a ship Iām the captain of. Or ignored a distress call. Even if Iām clearly on vacation. And, well, I donāt think thatās natural or normal or healthy to be like I am. Itās actually kind of sad.
If thereās one thing Iād like to take away from Amsterdam is the true peace I could obtain will have to be in situations Iām away from my phone. Itās like a business baby monitor I canāt stop watching. Iām addicted. And I need to find that balance, or Iāll never actually have peace. Anyways. My rant of the monthā¦ haha a rant I wrote on my phone to social media. Kinda meta š«
