Felt cute. Might keep forever.
The beautiful chaos of getting ready.

Block Island 7.25
There’s nothing like an East Coast Summer. Took Aldo to an island in the sun (and sometimes in the moody grey skies) to experience the joy of my childhood via the heart of @amuskygoldwyn ’s childhood. Long days on the beach, chairs circled up around the cooler. Adulthood edition featuring : mudslides, boat rides, and @joesacuervo , of course.

2 years after our first date, the future Mr Arechar-Sims surprised his betrothed with a 36 hour adventure to see some “big trees.” And indeed, they were very large!Â
This trip was the beginning of many, many (many) happy tears provided by 2025. First of all, I love surprises. I love to sit in the car for hours having no clue where we are going, watching the landscape change, wondering if I brought the right clothes, knowing it will all work out because after all, I am a seasoned overpacker.Â
We escaped the heat of the valley with the cool of the mountains, hugging trees and hiking through streams, beholding vistas and marveling at all 275 feet General Sherman. We learned it’s all about angles.Â
Back home at our river front airstream campground, we sipped garden-stuffed gin & tonics on lounge chairs of smooth rocks. Front row seats to the passing white water rafters. As the stars began to brighten and the air began to cool (a little), we discovered it was not our home at all.
This time last year we were celebrating our engagement era. We flew to London for your work (I went specifically for Ottolenghi breakfasts and ice skating with my sister), took a 6 am train to Paris, ate baguettes in the rain, got engaged on stage at the Teatro de la Ville, took a train to Winchester to surprise my niece and nephew with the news of a new tĂo, flew to your hometown in central Mexico, met your family & friends (for the first time!), flew to Idaho to watch a 17 ft potato drop amongst the fireworks and after all that adventure we stood in the sunny silence of a snowy day at the lake. Together. With love and adventure and family and friends all around us. Also, kinda surprisingly sweaty from snowshoeing. We didn’t know then that by this time, this year we’d be married and sitting on a beach in Oaxaca. Posting on Instagram.
Idaho Summer, 2024.
A week spent in the cool waters of Sun Valley toasting 50 years of Dusty & Connie aka Dad & Mom.Â
Looking back on photos from the last year-ish + as we approach our 3 month anniversary and the inevitable countdown to The Wedding Post. Highlighting this moment as it was the first time Aldo met my sister and got to experience the joy, and baking skills of being a TĂo to my favorite people. And I got to experience the joy, and comfort of seeing my family fall in love with him maybe even more than they love me.Â
We spent our mornings meditating and drinking coffee by the river, our middays dipping in the icy watering hole, our evenings dancing, singing, and cooking in the kitchen. S’mores optional. Firepit essential.
I haven’t listened to this song other than these 31 seconds, but I have been married to @aldoarechar for 31 days and now I know the life of thank you thank you thank you (for lovely bouquets y mas).
