In 2002, my dad built us a house in Chile Chico almost entirely with his own two hands. A home, a business, and a family of seven kids who today study in cities like London, Rotterdam, St. Petersburg, Novi Sad, Belgrade, and Trebinje.
Though time has passed and we’re scattered across the world, he’s still in Chile Chico, loyal to his vision and love for the land, building what’s now the southernmost winery on Earth.
From Chile Chico to New York, he's had many successes. But to me, his greatest one is this: being the kind of dad who built our home, our childhood, and our sense of purpose, all while building a dream.
Happy Father’s Day, Tata.
