Late afternoon adventures with @kaspartness and @midwifenaysie to Yagga Yagga Community. Once booming but now abandoned. A long 4hr drive return into the bush to an unknown destination had us all excited for the end result.
The lands out here are spectacular and it’s always nice to enjoy the moment with new friends made along with the way. May or may not have hit a washout a little to hard and made the sensors go off in the troopy (whoops). Luckily it’s got a service next week @broometoyotawa@britpfeiffer of course Puyu come for the adventure!!

Im Rahmen von 𝑷𝒂𝒕𝒉 4: 𝑫𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆 aus dem Programm 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑷𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒔 lädt Kaspar Schmidt (@kaspartness ) Kinder ein, den Weg in Marzahn zu bestimmen.
Kaspar initiiert einen partizipativen Workshop und eine Straßenperformance für Jugendliche und ihre Familien in Berlin-Hellersdorf. Gemeinsam entsteht eine große Papiermaché-Skulptur vor dem nGbK Pavillon Klassenzimmer der Zukunft am Alice-Salomon-Platz. Parallel dazu lädt eine „Dissidenzkarte“ lokale Jugendliche ein, ihre Träume, Frustrationen und Ideen für ihren Stadtteil sichtbar zu machen. Diese Beiträge werden zu Geschichten und Performances, die Teil einer öffentlichen Parade sind und zu Spielplätzen und weiteren Orten in Hellersdorf führen. Weltenwirbel zeigt spielerischen Protest als Ort für Dialog und generationenübergreifenden Austausch.

Der Künstler Kaspar Schmidt Mumm stammt aus drei Migrationsgenerationen auf beiden Seiten seiner Familie. Seit über zwei Jahrzehnten lebt und wirkt er in Australien, wo er als Sänger, Theaterpädagoge und Szenograf ein Kollektiv leitet. Kürzlich schloss er seinen Master in „Kunst im Kontext“ an der Universität der Künste Berlin ab. Seine künstlerische Praxis ist ein spielerischer Weltenbau, der Grenzen zwischen Kostüm, Musik, Skulptur und Bewegung auflöst. Durch Kostüme, Musik, Skulpturen, Bewegung und andere künstlerische Formen werden Autos zu Krokodilen, Lach-Chöre werden dirigiert, Roboter-Tamagotchis werden gebaut und Brotmasken gebacken.

History Shapes Us, Myths We Embody
I am performing at UDK: Rundgang with @mary.sntour on Saturday at 21:00. I will be telling two stories which I have collected and Speculated/Fabulated for my family within an installation.
The piece will be a Lecture-Performance which concludes the 3+ years of ‘Research’ I have done with @ifkik.udk
The thesis explains my process of cultivating our family’s repertoire as a method for self determination in the face of dominating narratives.

Erschafft. Buchstäblich. Mithilfe von Astronomie, Geopolitik, Globaler Ecologie, Anthropologie, Außerirdischen, Dinosauriern Spekulation und Fabulation haben wir die Geschichte unseres Planeten erzählt.
Mâché-Berge kartiery, Meteorschleudern abgeschossen, Zyklonventilatoren angetrieben, Eiskappen ausgetrocknet, Schleimflüsse gemischt und globale Protestbewegungen angeführt, so wir die Welt von uns repräsentieren, wie wir sie sehen.

I’d love to talk to you about how we can better integrate our society with cultural practices that have radical forms of participation. I think a public library is the best place to do that.

A 3D scan of workshop day 1/6. This Saturday we’re presenting our performance at @deutschestheaterberlin with @_dtjung .
You can see a map of the world lying on the ground which all participants have drawn on, the large paper sculpture of the earth and a paper mache station. We already have our basic storyboard. Apparently Cat Aliens is a thing.
