El Kashef’s journey in Cannes began in 2023 with “Eissa” directed by Morad Mostafa, which competed in Critics’ Week and won the Nikon Discovery Award and the Rail d’Or Award, becoming the first Egyptian film to win this prize in that section. The film later went on to receive more than 12 awards for Best Cinematography worldwide!
For the 4th year in a row, our #MADCrewCelebrity Cinematographer @kash.efx returns to @festivaldecannes this time with “BEN’IMANA”.
A remarkable milestone for Egyptian cinematography, marking one of the first times an Egyptian DOP achieves this level of consistent global presence.
