It was such honor to be invited to present at the inaugural Ethics & Aesthetics AI Conference hosted in Venice, Italy. I wrote my paper around the emergence of an AI beauty standard to gather my own thoughts, share observations, and ethical concerns. This paper brought me across the world into an environment where I was able to converse about the future with some of the brightest minds in the art, tech, and academia space. To have an experience like this was truly unforgettable. @ai.venice2025 @univiu @iuav_venezia

I wrote this paper to call out a practice that I believe will have long-term harm on society; the use of AI-generated people in place of real human beings. L/nk in Bio 🖤

I wrote an article exploring the ways in which the distortions of the digital space have began to bleed into reality. Bio to read the full article 🖤 #aiethics #artificialinteligence

(Chamber of Personas) In a world driven by data, where do we draw the line between reality and fiction? I first exhibited this piece at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco where attendees could closely engage and interact with the artwork. There were some really transparent discussions around the sensitive relationship we have with our technological devices and the aspects of us they capture, analyze, and categorize. I exist in the context of my community and am grounded in my reality so I couldn’t share this special milestone today without acknowledging the current state of affairs. Especially because of the work and mission of organizations like The Black Scholar that crawled so we can run. That being said I am really honored to share that my visual art piece “Angels at Bethesda” was selected as the official artwork for the Black Scholar Journal Issue 54.2. This is the second time an artwork of mine has been selected so I feel very fortunate to have another piece recognized in this prolific sphere of art and academia (previously Issue 53.2) Since 1969, The Black Scholar provided a platform for historical figures of black thought such as Maya Angelou, Angela Davis, W.E.B. Du Bois, and Octavia Butler🖤 This particular issue is centered around black femme speculative fiction and explores the urgent issues of our time, reminding us that the future is not a distant place but something we actively shape in the here and now...
