Poruszyłam kiedyś w gronie koleżanek, mężatek temat naszych nazwisk i chyba byłam jedyną, która przyjęła nazwisko męża, rezygnując z nazwiska ojca. Od zawsze temat był dla mnie mało oczywisty i nazwisko panieńskie traktowałam raczej jako nazwisko kawalerskie swojego taty. Czując ten brak kobiecej reprezentacji, kiedy wychodziłam za mąż, było to dla mnie dość oczywiste, że podejdę do sprawy pragmatycznie, zestawiłam sobie Karo Kowalik i Karo Ćwik i było po sprawie..wracam do przemyśleń, bo czytam teraz niezwykłą książkę "Błony Umysłu" i autorka książki Jolanta, córka Ireny, wnuczka Bronisławy i prawnuczka Ludwiki 😉 przywołuje ten temat pisząc: " Tylko mężczyzna, używając imienia i nazwiska, może w miarę jednoznacznie prezentować siebie. A co najważniejsze, nazwisko przypomina mu nieustannie, że nie jest sam, że nie wziął się znikąd. Mężczyzna zachowuje kontakt z poprzedzającymi go pokoleniami. Natomiast kobiety cywilacja wyrwała z ich tradycji, stale przecina wszelkie związki i zaciera ślady. Ich nazwiska nie zachowują pamięci pramatek, a nawet- co mniej ważne-praojców, skoro kolejne kobiece pokolenia są rozsypywane po cudzych rodach i ukrywane pod coraz to innymi nazwiskami..."

I will tell you a story. A few months ago, I opened a new vintage store with @kris_cwik . @myragsshop This gives us some additional income and breath from photographic orders. Some time ago, Prada Store bought dresses from us (but they did not reveal) and a few days ago the artist @mirandajuly bought a blouse from me:-Of course I wasn’t sure if it was she, the same day she bought another thing and our store shot with orders and display. I didn’t know what was going on ... After a while I saw an entry on the famous Miranda blog
I wonder what this story is about. I am very happy that our store has been appreciated, photographic skills @kris_cwik ❤️ but this is also a story about me ... of my wrinkles, about verses on the hands, with sacks under the eyes and about the fact that it could be ok! Why? Because all these things are part of me that this is the truth and there is no other. I knew that if we decide that I would be a model in our store, then only if I accept what I look like and that in the pictures I will be without makeup- why? Mainly from laziness. Paradoxically, it became the strength of this story and thank you for Miranda, that you said, the first word and it turned into a very important and beautiful feminine conversation about corporeality, about acceptance, about the presentation of the body

I don’t know exactly where I’m going yet, but I feel like I should just do this street project. I’m supported in this mentally, in absentia and platonically by the wonderful artist Mierle Laderman Ukeles... although she doesn’t even know it
