Shoutout to Ensemble Block co-founders Karl Arrieta (CMO), Huei-Yuan Pan (CEO), and Eric Carraway (CTO) for being such a huge part of this journey to Indianapolis. They didn’t just support us—they were there capturing the story of a truly special, historic trip.
I’ve been using Ensemble Block to prep everything—from our MFA performance to region band auditions and daily fundamentals. The ability for students to upload videos and get precise, time-stamped feedback has been a game changer, and the new features just keep coming.
Grateful for the collaboration, the innovation, and how much fun it’s been growing with this team.

It has been a week since @torrancehighdrumline competed at SCPA prelims and unfortunately we were not invited to the next round.
After pouring a lot of heart and soul into this season, I am reminded of how heartbreaking this experience can be from my previous run at THS.
But I also like how despite the whatever emotions I feel, it lights a fire in me that wants to come back smarter and stronger.
So, before we dive into the future, it's important to take a moment to acknowledge this special group of students and honor their dedication, drive, commitment, and professionalism. My 2nd year back teaching my Alma Mater has been just so amazing and it was an honor to lead them and put on a high caliber show like "The Countdown!"
