A little look behind the scenes at the Seven Blooms logo 🌸 A connected SB monogram that flows into a natural floral shape.
When I think about timeless logo design, I’m usually thinking about how to make it feel resolved.
For this mark, one of the most important decisions was allowing the S and B to naturally flow into the bloom itself. That gave the logo a more seamless, elegant feel and kept the floral detail from feeling overly literal or decorative.
It’s subtle, but that’s kind of the point 😌

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what it looks like to live a calmer life outside of work.
Waking up at 5am to journal for an hour works for some, but it’s not realistic for me. I just want to start my days in a way that feels doable and actually supportive of the life I want.
For me, it’s starting the day slower with my family, keeping things simpler when life feels especially full, focusing on fewer things with better energy, and reminding myself to actually pause for a second instead of rushing through everything. Like literally stopping what I’m doing and taking a minute to just breathe, it does wonders 😌
Even ending the day a little more gently has been making a difference. I’m still figuring it out as I go, but I think that’s part of it too. Learning that calm doesn’t always come from doing less, sometimes it comes from being a little more intentional with what I let fill my days 🤍

If you wanna know what makes me say “hell yes” in design, it’s these things right here ✨
And if you can’t tell, I’m currently very obsessed with the lived-in-meets-vintage look. Anyone else?

Motherhood has changed the way I work, the way I lead, and the way I see so much of life ✨
It’s stretched me, softened me, humbled me, and taught me more about presence than anything else ever could.
There are days when the balance feels beautiful, and days when it feels almost impossible. Days where I feel really proud of how I’m holding it all, and days where I’m just doing my best to be where my feet are.
To all the moms balancing work, motherhood, life, and all the invisible things in between, I see you. And today I’m celebrating you so loudly because what we do is really fcking hard and we’re allowed to be proud of ourselves.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mamas out there 💐
There are a few things I don’t do in business anymore or simply choose to never do, and most of them come back to one simple truth: I don’t want to build in ways that make me feel constantly overwhelmed.
I’m not available 24/7. I don’t believe I have to earn success by being endlessly accessible.
I don’t try to stretch myself so thin that there’s nothing good left of me by the end of the day.
And I don’t try to do it all alone. Having support has changed so much for me, not just in my business, but in how I feel inside and outside of it.
I’ve also let go of the pressure to offer everything to everyone. For a while, it can feel tempting to keep adding more or doing more. More ways to be available, more offers, more things people can buy. But I’ve learned that when you try to be for everyone, your business starts to lose its shape...really fast.
I care a lot more about building something that feels sustainable, clear, and actually good to live inside of. A business that supports my life, my creativity, and the people I care about, not one that constantly pulls me away from them.

Some of the biggest red flags in design are the ones people brush off because they think they’re normal.
They’re definitely not.
Copying is not part of the process.
Confusing you on purpose is not part of the process.
Trying to upsell you into things you don’t need is not part of the process.
And letting your website look good while functioning badly is definitely not part of the process.
A good design process should feel clear, collaborative, and rooted in trust. You should understand what’s happening, why it matters, and how the final result is actually serving your business.
If you’re looking for a brand and website designer who cares just as much about clarity and function as the final look, my inbox is open and I’d love to hear from you ✨

Homesforhealers.net is live, and it’s been a long time coming.
This is for the spouse who managed every detail of every move while their partner was on call.
For the attending who finally has the job and now needs the home.
For anyone who’s ever arrived in a new city and wondered how long it takes to actually feel at home.
The answer, I hope, starts here.
Endless gratitude to @karima.creative and her team for bringing this vision to life so beautifully. 💜

A good designer is not trying to create problems just so they can charge you to fix them let’s make that super clear.
If your logo is solid, it’s solid.
If your color palette is working and actually has function, there’s no reason to mess with it just for the sake of change.
If your business name makes sense, I’m not going to act like it suddenly needs a dramatic overhaul.
Not every brand needs to be burned down and rebuilt from scratch. Some do, not all.
Sometimes it just needs someone honest enough to tell you what’s already working and I’m a lot more interested in building the right thing than padding the project over here ✨

You can usually tell when a brand knows what it’s doing before you even fully realize why.
It’s in the way everything feels considered. The way the visuals, messaging, and experience all sound like the same person. The way the brand feels clear without trying too hard, and memorable without doing the absolute most.
Strong branding is not just here to look attractive and get attention, it lives with intention and gets remembered.
If your brand isn’t quite giving that energy yet, I’d love to help you get it there ✨

3 inquiries in the first 3 days of her new site launching, can we get a hell yeah?!
For Johanna of Frames & Letters Photography we built a site that feels vibrant, clear, and aligned with her brand, while also making sure the backend process felt manageable, the launch felt seamless, and the final result actually worked.
That’s always the goal around here.
A good-looking site AND a site that supports the business behind it.
If your current website feels like something you’ve outgrown, I’d love to help you build what’s next ✨

An easy-to-navigate means a lot more than looking clean and ‘organized’.
It’s about helping people move through your site without confusion, friction, or unnecessary effort.
That usually comes down to a few key things:
▸ clear navigation
▸ strong hierarchy
▸ intentional spacing
▸ direct messaging
▸ and calls to action that actually guide someone somewhere
If your site isn’t making things feel easier for people, it’s probably time for a better approach 👀
