A love story elopement timeline and story!
6/25/2024-Heidi texts me to ask if I’m free to talk, because her and Brenton want to call me (Mind you, it’s 10pm at night haha)
They decided an hour before they called me that they want to elope in ICELAND! And they basically said, “Get in loser, we’re going to Iceland”. Luckily I had a few days off to make it happen!
6/26/2024-All plane tickets booked!
Did I mention they decided to leave 7/19/2024? So less than a month until game time!
6/27/2024-Appt at Emma and Grace Bridal to find a dress! Only a few dresses in, and Heidi found the one! Brenton went to get his tux this day as well! (And obviously one for their little man!)
Remaining days leading up to travel-hotel and campsite booking and elopement planning!
7/19/2024-They all flew out to go explore/camping until I arrived!
I met them out there on 7/23 (after a day of traveling and time change). We went right into scouting mode to see what spots would be there photo and vow locations 🙂
7/24/2024-ELOPEMENT DAY!!! It was cold, rainy, windy, but perfectly Iceland. We had a first look at the airbnb (which actually felt like Colorado), and then we migrated to the Black Sand Beach in Vik for vows!
Everyone on the beach was so kind, and without even asking, they gave us space in the coolest cave on the beach for their whole vow exchange! Axeton watched on from his comfy and warm stroller awwww! From here we scooted around taking photos and then stopped at a cute church up the road for some shots and hangouts with some sheep.
Next and final stop was Skogafoss Waterfall! It was jaw-dropping and powerful. We continued our photos and family shots and had a magical day. We completed this with a delicious dinner (and SO many desserts), at a Viking restaurant, where outside, we had some wild horses come say hi (and now my life is complete).
Congrats you two! I love you all so much, and based on how all of Heidi and I’s trips have been (last minute and barely planned), this elopement was 100% on par with what fit for their day. Bucket List Elopement Unclocked! FLORENCE, ITALY
I've know Demitrio since the days of middle school and taco bell runs haha Fast forward to him meeting Alyssa at work and planning a life together full of adventures. I borrowed her for a couple snowshoe adventures 😉
One of their biggest adventures was an elopement in Florence! They asked me to capture it which meant so much to me! We spent 10 days exploring Italy with these two (Venice, Florence, Cortona, Sienna, Rome). Our second stop was where they said "I do"!
It started out how every elopement should start-with homemade croissants and cappuccino, relaxing in the Tuscan countryside. Ana glammed up Alyssa while Eric and Demitrio got ready. They both wrote their vows and then we had a first look by the fountain!
From there we cruised around taking photos on the jaw dropping property of Villa Medicea di Lilliano Wine Estate. Their team made everything perfect! They even put together a private wine tasting after our photos!
After wine tasting, Alyssa + Demitrio said their vows in the beautiful garden. We moved from there to a private spot for a catered dinner and wine!
Congrats you two! Love you both so much! Now for me to work off 10 days of pasta and wine!
