Join me for an interactive walk around the streets of Colaba. We will walk through sleepy neighbourhoods, on some dug up roads and through a buzzing local market, with glimpses of the past and present.
The route covers the area just south of colaba causeway, colaba market and a promenade.
The walk includes chai and a snack/s .

The walk concludes at Karfule, with a special walkaround of our family's 85 year old Art Deco petrol station.

A few videos and photos from a very interesting visit to the Commonwealth Tile Factory in Feroke, Kerala near Beypore
Set up over a Century ago, the factory retains it's old world charm and continues to churn out roof tiles which are commonly referred to as 'Mangalore Tiles' in most of India.
Though most processes are carried out by machines, there's still so much done by the factory workers who work together like clockwork.
The tour was organized by @handmadejourneys during the Bentley Boys drive across South India.

Some clips of a roadtrip in India with 2 pre-war Bentleys. On this leg we drove around Gujarat on dusty village roads and highways. The hospitality we experienced in Hotels, Car Museums and Villages were highlights of the trip.
I drove the Support Vehicle for the trip and am looking forward to the next drive!

I'll also be doing a fundraising walk in Colaba this Sunday to raise money towards medical expenses for Kamlesh, a traditional truck artist who has done some amazing artwork on travellers vehicles in the last few years.
After trying to contact him for a project , I got a call from his wife informing me that he suffered a paralytic attack a few weeks ago.
Proceeds from the walk will go towards costs of his treatment. His family has already taken loans to pay and I heard that the kids in the family haven't been able to go to school since they are having to help with odd jobs to help earn some money.
