XGAMES CHINA メインビジュアル制作＆上海FINALでのライブペイントパフォーマンスをxさせていただきました。会場でのX型巨大なディプレーや全部がLEDなっているスケートボードランプやスケートデッキからグッズまでKAREZMADのグラフィックで会場が埋尽くされていました！
I created the main visual for XGAMES CHINA and gave a live painting performance at the Shanghai Final. The venue was filled with KAREZMAD's graphics, from the X-shaped displays and LED skateboard ramps to the skate decks and merchandise

僕がコラージュ作品を作っている理由は、個人的な記憶と、ストリートで過ごした経験に根ざしている。
2000年代、僕の日常はクラブイベントのフライヤーをデザインする仕事だった。自分たちでもパーティーを主催して、コンビニでコピーしたフライヤーを街に貼りまくっていた。
あの頃の街は、グラフィティと張り紙だらけで、SNSなんてなかった。街に貼られたフライヤーやポスターが、情報を共有するためのメディアだった。
若かった僕たちは、業界やアートギャラリーへの入口も分からず、街の壁やグラフィティそのものが、作品を発表する場所だった。インスタないしね。
ポスターの上に落書きが重なっていく壁は、情報と表現が同時に存在する空間で、常に更新されていた。
クラブに通って、壁にタグを描いて、また次のフライヤーを作る。その繰り返しは、生活であり、仕事であり、カルチャーでもあった。
コラージュという手法は、ストリートの先輩から学んだものである。貼られて、剥がされて、上書きされていく壁の状態が、今もずっと頭に残っている。
その感覚を、僕はあの頃の空気ごと、重なり続ける状態そのものとして、いまの作品に落とし込んでいる。
KAREZMAD MANIFESTO
The reason I create collage works is rooted in my personal memories and the time I spent in the streets.
In the 2000s, my daily life was centered on working as a designer for club event flyers.
We also organized our own parties, copying flyers at convenience stores and pasting them all over the city.
At the time, the streets were covered with graffiti and layers of paper.
There was no social media.
Flyers and posters pasted on walls functioned as the primary media for sharing information.
We were young and didn’t know how to enter the art world or access galleries.
For us, the city’s walls and graffiti themselves were places to present our work.
There was no Instagram.
Walls where posters were layered with tags and drawings became spaces where information and expression coexisted, constantly being updated.
Going to clubs, writing tags on walls, then creating the next flyer.
That repetition was our life, our work, and our culture.
Collage is a method I learned from the street generations before me.
The image of walls being pasted over, torn down, and rewritten is still deeply engraved in my mind.
I bring that sensation—along with the atmosphere of those days—into my work today,
treating the state of continuous layering itself as the artwork.
