The fire alarm is a central component in many of my dadās sculptures. In addition to the large format paintings of his pieces, the JERBOTS series includes smaller component level studies of some of the elements that repeat in his work. Painting these objects gives me a chance to put little remixed twists on the classics and inject a little more personal narrative into the collection.
This week Iām starting three new large paintings and another robot mural so if I canāt hang out itās because Iām trying to make the people in the second photo proud.
Thank you @photographyartl for the first photo šø - love how well the @bandit__graffiti mural works with the fire alarm.

āHello, little one. We canāt know what the futureās going to hold. Just as every one of our histories is unique to ourselves, so this animal too, will have its own storyā (Sir David Attenborough talking to a meerkat)
In honor of national fried chicken sandwich day hereās some life soup from the past few months. been working really hard on some new juice that will certainly be worth the squeeze. š
Back in business⦠For Fatherās Day this year I wanted to honor my dad by painting one of his found object sculptures and letting the world experience the whimsy and imagination of his craft. Day one of this mural I fell and broke my heel and so began a grueling recovery. Eight weeks later, as soon as I was able to drive and hobble on both feet again, I came back to finish what I started. Truthfully, resuming the piece was my North Star in getting back to health - it was almost all I could think about as I watched so many of my friends coming out here and crushing their parts of this restoration project curated by @wrdsmth it was so hard to be patient and not rush back sooner than would have been safe. I had a lot of time to rest, reflect, and watch as my universe came to a crawl but now we baaaaaaack and ready to light the city tf up. RIP JK your art lives on through me, I miss you every day. Flicks coming when there isnāt a mf suv parked directly in front of the piece in that good light š
S/o to @8nh.art for a legendary assist and thank you to the amazing team at @cedarssinai for patching me up so I could do what I do!
