I’m so stoked about this project! I was approached while tabling my birds at Birds Canada by a fellow with the @hamiltonnature who had an idea for the Grimsby Wetland after seeing my benthic cards. A few months later, et voila! Though designed with youth in mind, lots of adults will surely also learn about the wonderful world of benthics and creatures in our waters. ✨
This is a reminder, too, that opportunities can spring up in the least expected ways. Keep going, and leading with your heart. 💖
I illustrated everything, scanned with the wonderful resources at @artspaceptbo , and then I did all of the graphic design, teaching myself along the way. I’m excited to get this into the world and the potential for reproduction! 😍

I had a lovely time at the @lakefieldanimalwelfaresociety volunteer appreciation bbq today! The sun was shining and the people were smiling. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the chats with guests (lots of bird and arts appreciation!), music, activities, puppies (!), delicious food and coffee, and my sister by my side with her wares. Thank you so much LAWS and volunteers for sharing the day, and for all you do for the animals! 🐾💖
