Nuevos Monumentalismos is a series of oil paintings and charcoal drawings that reflects on the role of public monuments in the urban landscape.
Through these works, the artist questions how symbols of power and authority shape our collective imagination and influence our perception of history and memory.

Symbiosis also extends into artistic creation. A real-life couple develops a shared artistic project as both a challenge and an experiment, questioning the nature of collaboration itself.
Symbiotic relationships can be mutualistic, commensal, or even parasitic. Who benefits the most: one individual, both partners, or the project itself? The intention is a positive interaction that feeds and expands itself, where the outcome becomes greater than the sum of its parts.
Symbiosis as a way of life: in contrast to competition and conflict, cooperation, trust, and shared responsibility emerge as the only true guarantee for the future.

"We grew up in the desert surrounded by thorny bushes and cacti.
We didn't go to the desert to be tempted by the devil: we wanted to sin; we dreamed of a garden.
There was so much to experience that the tree of knowledge became a forest to us. Luis went to investigate, he went to the future to look with the eyes of a visionary and mystic and, following in the footsteps of the European painters who had documented the landscape of Latin America in the past, he recorded the catastrophe: the collision of technical progress with nature, the ruins of architecture in the post-apocalyptic landscape, the juxtaposition of optical illusion and distorted perception of reality.
It is often said that the Europeans traded us gold for mirrors, but this is a mistranslation: what they gave us were mirages.
They wanted us to believe the story that Europe was the Garden of Eden, when it was the place where we lost our unity and where nature became a deceptive projection.
And there was Luis to paint it: the garden was a bubble, a hazy and fragmented reflection; because we grew up in the desert, we are experts in mirages!" Juan Pablo Villalobos

“Libertad para ser constante” is a project developed by Marcelo Víquez, a layered and thought-provoking reflection on the human condition and the illusion of freedom.
Through a direct yet deeply symbolic visual language, the artist introduces a recurring image: a donkey chasing a carrot suspended just beyond its reach. A simple and familiar scene that becomes a universal metaphor for repetition, desire, and the impossibility of escaping cycles driven by instinct and necessity.
In this perspective, freedom appears as a fragile construct—an illusion that accompanies us while we remain bound to our own patterns. Víquez extends this reflection to the artistic practice itself, presenting sculptures that depict his own body, placing the artist within the very mechanism he questions.
In the video, these ceramic sculptures unfold as both ironic and unsettling presences, oscillating between awareness and inevitability, inviting us to reflect on time, repetition, and the meaning of our actions.

Supporting and strengthening our cultural fabric.
We celebrate the acquisition of Topologías by @olimpia.velasco , an artist represented by Kaplan Projects, which now becomes part of the collection of @esbaluardmuseu
Conceived within the project Geodesia, the installation is built around the experience of movement and journey, tracing personal maps where territory, memory, and perception intertwine. Through drawings and a vertex that structures the piece, the artist creates a network of connections that transforms the landscape into an open, ever-evolving cartography.
An initiative that reinforces the commitment to local talent and contemporary art in the Balearic Islands.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to those who continue to support and champion art, artists, the city, and Mallorca.

On the canvas, an almost photographic gaze interweaves exhibition scenes viewed through banana leaves that obstruct the viewer’s sight.
The works of Ellsworth Kelly, Blinky Palermo and Imi Knoebel thus emerge from the tropical foliage, forming meta-paintings traversed and interrupted by nature.
@luisalfonso.villalobos reflects on the inevitable growth of nature around human constructions, and even within them.
Far from presenting this relationship as a conflict, he proposes a silent and poetic coexistence between the built environment and organic forces, where landscapes emerge unexpectedly: as beautiful as they are unsettling.
In this way, he draws a parallel between the survival capacity of the tropical tree—capable of thriving in extreme conditions—and the persistence of contemporary painting, which continues to expand and reinvent itself in equally challenging contexts.

Alto rilievo #4, 2026
Fr the series: Alto rilievo
31 x 46 x 10 cm
Mixed media on triple wall
Danny Rolph’s new Alto Relievo paintings consist of layers of regular and irregular shaped painted and collaged materials that project forward from their backgrounds.
Most of these elements were destined for landfill so he decided to change their purpose into something exciting and beautiful.
The fragmented colours relate to the colours in the sky he experienced during his morning and evening walks in the beautiful valley of Soller a couple of years ago.
These paintings reassemble his memories into new forms that arouse and confound the viewers expectations.
