Alhamdulillah, we are beyond blessed to welcome our son, Idris Jahangir Mahmud, into this world. Born on Jummah during the blessed birth month of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, his arrival feels like a profound reminder of Allah’s mercy and love. Named after my late father, his name also honors the legacy of Prophet Idris (as), known for his wisdom and truthfulness. As Allah says in the Qur’an, ‘And mention Idris in the Book; indeed, he was a truthful one, a prophet. And We raised him to a high station.’ (19:56-57). We pray that our Idris embodies the qualities of both his grandfather and the noble prophets, and that his life is filled with barakah, wisdom, and light, just like the month he was born in. May he always reflect the beauty of his names and the blessings of the day he arrived. Please keep our little Idris in your duas♥️

If I had a dime for every time someone asked, ‘Who’s taking your newborn photos?’ I’d be 🤑 Jessica was one of my very first mentors who taught me newborn photography, and it felt so full circle to have her capture this special moment for me.
still feels a little surreal typing this
at the launch I said it in my lil ole speech but it all really started in the most random quiet way after my dad passed, my mom just wanted a reformer and a sauna to focus on herself after everything she had been through. nothing big nothing business-y just something for her and that was the first time I even saw a reformer
then one day after my first postpartum pilates class I came home and told my mother in law “oooh I kinda liked that” she swears she saw my brain start spinning right then🥹 and still she supported every wild idea that came after
and to my amazing energizer bunny of a family and the business partners I somehow met along the way an idea is just an idea like @shahanafrombk said “there are yappers and there are doers” I have always been a certified yapper🤪but this only exists because we found a team of doers. as Drake says “my team good we dont really need a mascot” and I really couldnt have done any of this without them
to Idris my barakah baby you are the reason I even started pilates and I thank Allah every single day for you🤍
and to @kap.9 you supported every one of my crazy ideas just know they are only going to get crazier from here😭
@amalpilates is and will always be for the community I have had the privilege of being part of. 500+ of you rsvpd through a lil ole link in bio and showed up across all our launch days that still doesnt feel real
and to our sponsors… TO OUR SPONSORS I know how much your business rely on moments like this to grow and the way you all reached out and showed up for us on less than a weeks notice unreal. truly.
this was never just a studio it was always something we built together.
during the launch someone came up to me and told me she had been watching me since she was 12 it only made me realize how old I was haha and how many eras there truly have been. crafts by raf with mason jars and graduation caps to photographing brides bumps and babies and somehow I am in my pilates era now. Alhamdullilah.
if you made this far, told ya I was a certified yapper🤪
Every now and then we shoot a wedding that just sticks with us.
Nimi & Areeb’s was one of those.
From the start they felt like friends we’ve known forever, just so easy and fun to be around. The whole day had that same energy.
It’s the kind of wedding you randomly think about later and just go… wow that was a good one.
Still so grateful we get to do what we do.🥹
A dream under construction ☁️ @amalpilates is coming to life! One wall, one reformer, one step closer to opening our doors in Brooklyn. See yall soon iA

The secret is out…
@milkandhoneycafebk is joining Amal Pilates as their fourth location at @oneparkpoint_ 🥳The collab you didn’t know you needed. Burn first, sip after.
And before your reformer and lattes become besties, don’t miss their Coney Island café on Surf Ave.

From the very first touch to the moment their vows were lifted into dua, Nabila and Bappe’s Nikkah unfolded with the sweetest details beginning with a cake lovingly made by her sister and blooming into a garden of paper flowers cascading through decor touched by Allah’s gentle grace. Guests sheltered beneath their umbrellas as the sun poured in, giving the entire day a dreamy stillness. May Allah surround their union with endless barakah and light.
A destination soirée for the books ✨ With over 150 guests flying in to celebrate by the waters of Lake Como, Revana and Aadil’s wedding at Palazzo Gallio, a historic Renaissance palace on the shores of Lake Como, unfolded like a film, with a heartfelt ceremony, an elegant reception, personalized handwritten letters for each guest, fireworks over the lake, and a live sax player who transformed the dance floor into pure magic. In the sweetest twist, Revana and Aadil cut the cake with four guests celebrating the same birthday on the wedding day. A night to remember forever indeed.
