Oakleys design stuck with me since I was a little kid and also followed me through my teenage years because of skate and snowboarding and I am super stoked that Oakley is pushing it both in eyewear but also apparel in the last year or two.

35mm film snaps from the rain tower, wind tunnel & footwear lab at the GTX Headquarters. I can tell you the Gore-Tex 3L from Goldwin I am wearing on picture 7 is just as waterproof as all the other ones we tested from their archive ✨
After the [photography] lab exhibition hosted by @goretexstudio , I headed south last week to visit their HQ near Munich for the [photography] summit - bringing together visual creatives from six different European cities.
We got some deep insights into their heritage and how they test the waterproofness of every Gore-Tex equipped product before release. Besides testing their guarantee ourselves in the rain tower, we also spent some time in the city under blue skies, which felt especially refreshing after the last few months of pure unpleasant weather.

first weekend was full of airplanes turning around mid flight, cancelled trains & a storm canceling all the dutch festivals. Bumpy start but after that all the other times I came along were smooth like butter🧈
after talking about the Speicherstadt in Hamburg a few weeks back it’s now time for a series from its neighboring tourist hotspot, the Landungsbrücken in St. Pauli. These landing bridges are tight between the lower Harbour, the infamous fish market and the Reeberpahn and its red light district.

In 2011/12 I got my first pair of proper trainers, which was an Air Max 1 with a brownish upper made from suede and canvas, a white midsole, and a pink outsole, and I quickly started buying more sneakers so the ones I had would last longer.

After a year or two I started posting “on feet” photos in dedicated Facebook groups and here on Instagram, wearing all kinds of brands including adidas, ASICS, Puma & more. But whatever trend my rotations had, I never turned on Air Max in all its variations.

For this year’s Air Max Day I went down memory lane and picked 20 different memories, while leaving out so many more because I lacked the proper content.
