My EP Dougla Boi is out now, and I’m genuinely grateful to finally be releasing this music into the world. This project is a reflection of my journey up to this point. The highs, the challenges, the lessons and everything that shaped me into who I am today. These songs helped me heal, they gave me new ways to understand moments that were hard to process and they opened up a new sense of self-acceptance I didn’t even realise I needed. This song is called “Breathe” something so simple, yet so easy to take for granted as we move through life. When I broke my ribs and punctured my lungs in an accident back in 2019, I learned what it felt like to not be able to take a deep breath. As terrifying as that moment was, it gave me a new appreciation for life and showed me that even the hardest moments carry their own silver linings if you’re willing to see them. “Breathe” came to life on my first trip to Jamaica. Without planning it, a moment of reasoning with my bro @chillmuchmore turned into a whole creative session and the song came together exactly how it was meant to. Thank you to everyone who played a part in bringing this EP to life. Every creative, every friend, every moment of support. I appreciate all of you.
