To all of the 2026 graduates, congratulations on making it to the other side💐
You stayed the course. You showed up when it was hard, when it was uncertain, when it didn’t feel like it would all come together, & somehow, it did.
As someone who would’ve been a 2026 graduate, I honor you. I also sit with a different kind of reality. My journey didn’t come with a syllabus. There’s no semester to measure my progress, no cap & gown waiting at the end of a set timeline. The challenges I’ve faced don’t have a deadline. There’s no clear “arrival,” no moment where it all neatly wraps up & says “you made it.”
& if I’m being honest, there are days I feel the weight of that.
I feel that this time marks a beginning for us all because honestly, what comes after this??? Some of you have a plan. Some of you don’t. Some of you feel ready. Some of you feel uncertain. Some of you are celebrating, & some of you are quietly wondering, “what now?”
Wherever you fall, you’re not alone in that.
& to the younger version of me, the one smiling in that cap and gown who thought everything would make sense by now, I want you to know this:
We didn’t miss it.
We didn’t fall behind.
We just grew in ways no timeline could measure.
I know what it feels like to not have it all mapped out & I know the weight of uncertainty, & both have NEVER stopped anything that was meant for me.
So whether you’re walking across a stage, stepping into a new chapter, or simply trying to figure out what’s next:
There is something on the other side of your decision to continue, & you won’t meet it standing still… keep staying the course ♡
