Of all the eras to be stuck in I’m super grateful it was the 70’s.
This photo was taken on a trip which involved two distinct groups of girls, those of us from St Kilda and Caulfield and another group from the Far Eastern suburbs. A culture clash of music tastes I never thought would be resolved with us loving Led Zeppelin, Slade, the Stones and Gary Glitter…😳yep. And the other lot singing on repeat Puppy Love by Donny Osmond. Miles and miles of a rattling bus through red desert, sleeping in tents, peeing behind almost non existent bushes and the mutual horror of outback loos cemented us together and after an incredible two week trip to the heart of Australia we all collapsed into puddles of weeping and ‘love you!’s as we alighted the bus into the arms of our well rested families. My god what hard work we must have been 😂 The attitude….
