We said goodbye to Ripley today.
She had kidney and heart failure over the course of this past month, it was hard to let her go. I’m thankful we had her in our life for this long. I loved that she was her own person and did things her own way. She was my smart and determined and beautiful lil baby. Ripley has been a part of our family for nearly 15 years, a constant companion, from a shelter in Baltimore to our home in California. I love her so much.

I did a tiiiny postcard-inspired sticker stamp of haunted New Orleans for @owlcratejr ! It’s included in their special edition box with V.E. Schwab’s “Bridge of Souls”. It was a fun n quick little assignment, nice to sketch and do some hand lettering again, thanks to my creative director Sally White!

Owls! 〰️ Pt 3
I’ve loved owls ever since I was a kid. While my mom was pregnant, she would look out her back window at a lovely great horned owl that lived in a big tree next to our old house. Owls have come to stay with my mom wherever she lives, but she always said that one was watching over me.
