A rifle is only as reliable as its mags. Weather proofing your kit goes a long ways. This year at @kalashbashtexas we saw just how bad rain water can rust your gear. Fortunately our M10X and Bulgys held up exceptionally well. We wanted to take things a step further. We exposed one sample to 24HRS of soaking and dry cycles near Baffin Bay Texas in a safe controlled environment. Baffin Bay in Texas is a hypersaline lagoon with extreme salinity levels, often exceeding 75‰ (parts per thousand) in its northern, landlocked parts, which is over twice the salinity of the ocean (~35‰).

Taking notes from KBTX26, with the approval from The Ranch TX Club, we will be testing a new Camp Kalash format at Lethal Weapons TX 2026.
Revisions: Parking will now extend back to Long Range, with vehicles backing into 10' wide parking spots sectioned on the tent side of the road. Tent and Overland Campers will no longer be seperated. Tents & Structures will now have more space to spread out in the "Open Camping" area.
On paper, this appears to be an improvement to how Camp Kalash Parking is managed. If it goes well, there is a good chance we will continue this format after LWTX26.
